SOUTHPORT, N.C. -- Fifty-five years after he befriended a company of Marines near his Chinese village, and four decades after he was imprisoned by the communists for refusing to renounce the United States, Charlie ``Two Shoes'' Tsui became a U.S. citizen.
``I am so excited I can hardly contain myself,'' Tsui said Saturday as he walked onto the lawn at Fort Johnston for the naturalization ceremony wearing the same Marine Corps dress pants the Marines had given to him as a boy.
